Risk & Compliance Analyst

Our client, a global fintech investment and digital wealth platform, is expanding its U.S. presence and seeking a Risk & Compliance Analyst to support the build-out of its regulatory and risk framework.

This position is based in San Francisco.

Job Description

This is an opportunity to shape compliance infrastructure for a newly established U.S. entity backed by a large international organization. The environment combines startup agility with the stability of an established global brand.

Responsibilities
  • Establish and maintain the U.S. risk and compliance framework aligned with applicable regulatory requirements.
  • Execute and update the annual compliance plan to reflect evolving business needs and regulatory changes.
  • Ensure operational and financial systems, policies, and processes meet required legal and regulatory standards.
  • Partner with business teams to define, document, and monitor risk metrics, including market, credit, and liquidity measures.
  • Monitor and report key risk exposures and prepare analytics, trends, and insights for senior leadership.
  • Conduct stress testing and scenario analysis to evaluate risk impacts.
  • Participate in enterprise risk assessments to identify areas of exposure and recommend control enhancements.
  • Support regulatory examinations, internal audits, and reviews by coordinating timely responses and documentation.
  • Oversee internal compliance monitoring activities and promote transparency across teams.
  • Contribute to the development and enhancement of policies that encourage ethical and compliant behavior.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in business, finance, or a related field.
  • 1-4 years of experience in compliance, regulatory oversight, securities, risk management, or audit.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to conduct research and evaluate risk.
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively across multiple departments.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to navigate a fast‑growing, dynamic environment.
Compensation

Determining compensation for this role (and others) at Vaco by Highspring depends upon a wide array of factors, including but not limited to:

  • The individual's skill sets, experience, and training;
  • Licensure and certifications;
  • Office location and other geographic considerations;
  • Other business and organizational needs.

With that said, as required by local law in geographies that require salary range disclosure, Vaco by Highspring notes that the salary range for the role is noted in this job posting. The individual may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses, and can participate in medical, dental, and vision benefits as well as the company's 401(k) retirement plan.
