Ren Friedman is recruiting for a Financial Associate at a venture capital firm in San Francisco. This is a full-time, permanent role with a hybrid schedule (1-2 days in the office).

Join a San Francisco-based VC firm specializing in blockchain, crypto, and fintech, where innovation meets institutional expertise. As a Finance Associate, you'll collaborate with industry leaders, gaining hands-on experience in fund reporting, AI-driven operations, and direct portfolio engagement. This dynamic role offers growth, autonomy, and the opportunity to influence the future of finance and technology.

Responsibilities

+ Review and analyze quarterly reports from the fund administrator.

+ Reconcile digital asset transactions with blockchain records.

+ Prepare and distribute quarterly capital statements to investors.

+ Act as the primary liaison for fund administrator relationships.

+ Support auditors to ensure timely issuance of audited financial statements.

+ Manage audit requests, including confirmations, valuation memos, and transaction support.

+ Oversee fund operations and processes.

+ Track fund finances and investments in a proprietary portfolio database.

+ Respond to finance-related investor inquiries.

+ Assist with SPV finance processes and fund tax compliance.

Requirements

+ 3+ years of accounting experience in investment management (VC, PE), public accounting (audit or tax), or fund administration.

+ Proficiency in Excel, including vlookup and pivot tables.

+ Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

+ Interest in crypto, technology, or AI is a plus.

+ MUST have CPA or at least 2 CPA exams passed

+ Prior crypto experience is a plus but not required.
