Job Description

QIC Private Equity (QPE) is seeking an exceptional Analyst to join its San Francisco office, focused on Venture Capital and Private Equity primary fund and co‑investment opportunities. This is an opportunity to join a high‑performing global investment team and gain hands‑on exposure across the full investment lifecycle in one of the world’s most dynamic markets.

QPE invests in leading private equity firms and companies across North America, Europe, and Asia‑Pacific in the middle market. As a Limited Partner (LP), your role will focus predominantly on co‑investments and primary fund commitments.

The Role

As an Analyst, you will be deeply involved in live investment opportunities, supporting due diligence, research, financial analysis, and portfolio monitoring. You will work in a matrix‑style team environment, where responsibilities cut across deals, sectors, and projects, and where individuals are expected to take ownership early.

The team operates with a high degree of autonomy and pace. Deal flow often comes from experienced private equity sponsors at an advanced stage, requiring you to quickly assess positioning, challenge assumptions, and form an independent view earlier in the process than in many traditional investment roles.

This is a role for someone who is comfortable learning on the job, taking initiative, and pushing work forward with confidence, while knowing they have strong support around them.

This role suits someone who is analytically rigorous, commercially curious, and eager to develop a long‑term career in private markets investing. You’re energised by a fast‑moving, high‑performance environment where priorities can shift.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support investment due diligence, including information gathering, identifying key risks and gaps, managing timelines, and performing quantitative and commercial analysis.
  • Draft and contribute to Investment Committee papers and transaction documentation.
  • Conduct market and sector research across the North American VC & PE landscape to deepen understanding of target strategies and segments.
  • Prepare for and participate in meetings with fund managers and co‑investment targets, including detailed note‑taking and follow‑up analysis.
  • Assist with portfolio monitoring and client reporting.
  • Manage and maintain QPE’s CRM and deal flow systems, coordinating closely with global team members to ensure strong internal processes.
About You

You are a high‑performing early‑career professional with strong analytical skills and a clear interest in private markets investing.

You will bring
  • 1–2 years’ post‑graduate experience in management consulting (strategy or PE diligence), investment banking, investing, or a closely related analytical role.
  • Strong analytical capability and financial modelling skills.
  • Clear written and verbal communicator.
  • Strong organisational and time‑management skills.
  • Collaborative, self‑starting mindset with the ability to work effectively across global teams.
