Senior Examiner, Consumer Compliance - Fin Tech

Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco is seeking a Senior Examiner to lead consumer compliance supervisory events at the largest financial institutions in the SF Fed district. The role enforces federal consumer protection laws and promotes access to banking services in underserved markets through examinations, consumer complaint investigations, and outreach activities.

• Lead consumer compliance supervisory events at large, complex financial institutions.
• Develop risk assessments and continuously monitor consumer compliance risks.
• Communicate sound conclusions and recommendations regarding the effectiveness of institutions’ compliance management systems.
• Build and maintain effective working relationships with partners within the Federal Reserve System and other regulatory agencies.
• Engage in formal training and mentorship programs for junior staff.
• Act as subject matter expert for large institution compliance risk management frameworks.
• Participate in conferences, seminars, and outreach activities to provide current regulatory perspectives.

• Bachelor’s degree in business, economics, finance, accounting, or a related field (preferred).
• Active examiner commission issued by the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System or other federal agency (required).
• Minimum of eight years of direct or comparable banking supervision experience with exposure to compliance frameworks.
• Experience with Fin Tech platforms and Banking as a Service (BaaS).
• Strong problem solving, analytical thinking, and communication skills.
• Intermediate to advanced proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Valid driver’s license (required).
• Travel up to 25% (required).

Base Salary: Min: $159,900 Mid: $207,700 Max: $255,400 (
