Job Overview

This role is a Core Tax Services (CTS) Experienced Manager – ASC
740 responsible for advising clients on the tax implications of their business objectives, evaluating and selecting alternative actions to lessen tax burden and cost of compliance, identifying different methods of complying with tax regulations while acting as the primary client contact for complex corporate tax and ASC 740 tax issues.

In this role, the Core Tax Services Experienced Manager applies knowledge to understand potential tax issues and communicates potential risks and changes in tax policy, ensuring clients and the firm comply with all policies and industry standards.

• Tax Compliance – ensure client compliance, conduct reviews, resolve tax issues, manage client relationships, and provide timely advice.
• Research – identify research needs, frame issues, provide methodology, and train staff.
• ASC 740 Tax Accruals – apply firm policies, explain ASC 740 components, review provisions, and manage specialized services.
• Tax Consulting – develop, recommend, and implement client benefit strategies, consider CTS and STS involvement, and serve as technical resource.
• Tax Specialization – deepen technical expertise in areas such as individual, corporate, pass‑through, international, and transfer pricing, and conduct internal training.
• Strategy Development – propose improvements, lead marketing initiatives, present strategies, and collaborate with national teams.
• Other duties as required.

• Supervise associates and senior associates on all projects.
• Review and provide feedback on work.
• Train staff on current software tools.
• Act as a career advisor.
• Schedule and manage workload.
• Provide verbal and written performance feedback.

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Taxation required;
Master’s degree preferred.

• Six (6) or more years of experience, required.
• Experience managing ASC 740 computation processes for private and public clients, required.
• Prior supervisory experience, required.
• Multinational client experience, preferred.

• CPA, Attorney (U.S. jurisdiction), or IRS Enrolled Agent (CE), required.

• Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook) and Adobe Acrobat, preferred.
• Tax research databases (BNA, RIA) and compliance process software (Go File Room , GoSystem
  
  RS, Caseware, BNA Depreciation Software, or comparable programs), preferred.
