Tax Manager

Overview

An established independent CPA firm in San Francisco is hiring a Tax Manager with strong international tax exposure to support a growing client base of globally mobile individuals, foreign nationals, and internationally connected HNWIs. The firm advises founders, executives and families with cross-border complexity, combining US individual tax with inbound and outbound planning.

Tax Manager | Bay Area SF | $160,000 - $190,000 | Hybrid

• Manage a portfolio of internationally connected HNWIs and families
• Review complex US individual returns (Forms 1040, multi-state) with international elements
• Advise on inbound and outbound US tax issues, residency, sourcing, and treaty positions
• Work with international reporting and compliance (e.g. Forms 5471, 8865, 8938, FBAR)
• Act as a key client contact, translating technical issues into clear advice
• Review and mentor Seniors and Associates
• Partner closely with senior leadership on complex cross-border matters

• CPA qualified
• Strong US individual tax background within public accounting
• Meaningful exposure to international / cross-border individual tax
• Experience advising HNWIs, executives, or internationally mobile clients
• Confident operating at Manager level with direct client responsibility
