Target Pay
$104,528- $116,144 + discretionary bonus
Role Overview
The Senior Accountant, Property Accounting at Prime Residential (Prime) plays a critical role in ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and compliance of financial reporting across our portfolio. This position is responsible for overseeing property related transactions, managing the financial close process, preparing journal entries, conducting reconciliations, and leading financial analysis to drive strategic decision‑making.
Perform Full Cycle Accounting to include analysis of accounts or accounting transactions. Prepare and assist with cash management, AP and AR, accruals and reconciliations. Prioritize and maintain organization of a high‑volume workload.
The Senior Accountant is expected to collaborate closely with corporate, regional, and on‑site teams to ensure strict adherence to GAAP and internal accounting policies. The Senior Accountant will also play a key role in audits, financial compliance initiatives, process improvements, identifying opportunities to enhance financial accuracy and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities
Financial Reporting & General Ledger Management
• Manage the financial close process, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in reporting.
• Prepare and record journal entries, ensuring proper documentation, verification, and reconciliation of financial data.
• Assist in liquidity and cash activities of properties to facilitate organization’s goals on investor distributions. Request fund transfers as appropriate.
• Perform bank reconciliations timely ensuring compliance and accuracy.
• Ensure general ledger integrity, including intercompany allocations, loan schedules, and financial transactions.
• Prepare financial reports to meet lender and investor requirements.
• Research, analyze and effectively communicate complex accounting issues and elevate appropriately.
• Prepare various business license renewals, business taxes, asset listing reporting and responsible for remitting all property taxes.
Budgeting & Financial Analysis
• Support financial analysis by assessing revenue trends, expenditures, and cost controls.
• Assist in budget preparation and provide recommendations for adjustments based on financial trends.
• Provide insights into forecasting and financial planning to align with corporate objectives.
Audit & Compliance
• Comply and assist corporate accounting in financial audits, tax compliance, and financial reporting requirements, ensuring efficient and accurate documentation.
• Ensure full compliance with GAAP, regulatory requirements, and internal financial policies, identifying and mitigating risks.
• Proactively analyze financial processes, recommend improvements, and implement controls to optimize compliance and efficiency.
