This is a temporary, project-based finance role with clearly defined, time-bound deliverables focused on strengthening systems, data integrity, and grant-related financial infrastructure. The scope of work centers on financial systems migration, grant and funding standardization, and the development of standardized budgeting templates and tools that improve compliance, forecasting, and financial clarity across programs. The role will work closely with existing Finance Managers, the CFO, and program staff to ensure accurate data migration, consistent grant documentation, compliant reconciliation of funding sources, and the successful implementation of user-friendly budgeting framework that support program leadership and audit readiness.

- System migration & Data Integrity: Support the migration from the legacy financial system to a new nonprofit accounting platform, ensuring accurate data transfer, proper chart of accounts mapping, and reliable tracking of restricted and unrestricted funds for multi-year grants.
- Grant & Contract Standardization: Centralized and standardized all grant agreements, contracts, and MOUs; establish consistent digital filing and compliance tracking to support audit readiness and ensure timely reporting across all funding sources.
- Funding Compliance & Reconciliation: Reconcile grant billings, drawdowns, and expense allocations to ensure full cost recovery, adherence to donor and regulatory requirements, and identification of over- or under-spending risks.
- Program Budgeting & Capacity Building: Develop standardized budgeting templates and assumption guides and collaborate with program and finance staff to improve forecasting, budgeting accuracy, and understanding of grant restrictions.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, or Finance; CPA or MBA a plus
- 4+ years in non-profit finance.
- Must have deep understanding of Fund Accounting and grant management.
- Advanced Excel skills; experience with non-profit ERP's and Functional Expense reporting.
- Familiarity with GAAP for non-profits and if applicable 2 CRF
200 for Federal funding. - Proficient in Google and MS Suites;
Skill in preparing reports, forms, and spreadsheets. Ability to maintain confidential and sensitive information. Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing English.
- The pay range for this position is $101,997 - $131,562
. A new hire generally starts between $101,997 and $113,00. The final salary offer will be determined after reviewing relevant factors, including but not limited to skill sets, relevant experience, internal equity, and other business and organizational needs.
