Controller - B2B SaaS Startup

Overview

We are seeking a hands-on Controller to lead and scale the accounting function at a fast-growing B2B SaaS startup. This is a high-impact leadership role responsible for financial reporting, audit ownership, and building scalable, tech-forward accounting systems. The ideal candidate thrives in a growth-stage environment, enjoys rolling up their sleeves, and has experience scaling accounting operations in a startup setting.

• Lead all accounting operations including GL, AP/AR, payroll, revenue recognition, and compliance
• Own monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes
• Manage external audits and act as the primary audit liaison
• Ensure GAAP-compliant financial reporting
• Implement and improve accounting systems, controls, and automation
• Partner with FP&A on budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Finance, Legal, HR, and Operations

• CPA certification (required)
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience
• Experience as a Controller or Assistant Controller
• Background in B2B SaaS startups
• Strong GAAP and technical accounting expertise
• Experience leading end-to-end audits
• Hands-on mindset and comfort operating in a lean environment
