Accounting Manager

Description We are looking for an experienced Accounting Manager to join our team on a long-term contract basis. Based in San Francisco, California, this role focuses on overseeing financial operations for multifamily property portfolios within the real estate investment sector. The ideal candidate has a strong accounting background and a proven ability to manage complex financial reporting processes.

Responsibilities:

- Manage the financial operations for multiple multifamily property units, ensuring accurate reporting and compliance.

- Perform month-end close processes, including reconciliations and journal entries.

- Prepare and review general ledger accounts to maintain financial accuracy.

- Oversee financial statement audits and ensure timely completion.

- Handle expense management using Concur and ensure proper documentation.

- Conduct bond reporting related to real estate investments.

- Utilize accounting software such as Yardi and Real Page for property management tasks.

- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure financial objectives are met.

- Generate detailed financial reports for management review. Requirements - At least 10 years of experience in accounting, with a focus on real estate investment or property management.

- Proficiency in month-end close procedures and general ledger management.

- Expertise in financial statement audits and account reconciliation.

- Advanced knowledge of journal entries and financial reporting.

- Experience with accounting software, specifically Yardi, Real Page, and Concur.

- Strong skills in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting.

- Familiarity with bond reporting in the real estate sector.

- Excellent organizational and communication abilities.
