Are you looking for an opportunity to support a leading community and private bank serving Bay Area businesses, nonprofits, and individuals? Bank of San Francisco is seeking a Loan Analyst to become a critical part of our team.

Job Responsibilities
  • Partner with the Relationship Managers, Portfolio Managers, and clients to understand lending needs and guide them through processing, underwriting, closing, funding, and post loan requests.
  • Primary focus in residential lending, while also assisting with commercial loan processing.
  • Analyze client financials to determine eligibility and structure residential loans.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for all internal and external parties after handoff, ensuring clear communication and smooth transactions.
  • Manage the end-to-end loan process, including presenting loans for approval, submitting applications, collecting conditions, coordinating closings, and handling post-closing requests.
  • Monitor the loan pipeline to maintain workflow efficiency and meet closing deadlines.
  • Ensure accuracy and compliance through meticulous review of financial and loan documentation.
  • Maintain exceptional organization across document management, file collection, and recordkeeping.
  • Seek ways to enhance processes and procedures, streamline workflows, and strengthen team collaboration.
Requirements
  • Minimum 3 years of prior banking or financial experience in residential underwriting and loan processing.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, or Finance preferred
  • Solid understanding of compliance requirements in residential lending.
  • Proven success working with high-net-worth clients and handling non-traditional loans and underwriting.
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking, communication and mathematical skills
  • Exceptional organizational skills and able to prioritize changing priorities.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word required; knowledge of Salesforce preferred.
