Commercial Associate - Assistant Vice President

This Citi Commercial Bank Associate role is to support the Venture Capital strategy and Venture Capital Coverage Bankers within the US Commercial Bank  Associate role is part of the Citi Commercial Bank program which receives a foundation of knowledge and training required to contribute as a valuable resource in Citi. Assignments focus on attaining core competencies in any of the following.

Responsibilities

• Company Research and Industry Analysis

• Analyzing Financial Data and Financial Modeling

• Collaborating with Partners

• Project Coordination

• Assess and mitigate risks in business decisions, prioritizing the firm’s reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, clients, and assets. Ensure compliance with laws, rules, regulations, and upholding ethical conduct, and transparently escalating and reporting control issues.

• Prospecting Support

• Development of Presentations and Reports to support strategy

Qualifications

• 2 years’ work experience credit or commercial banking experience

• Strong background in Business development

• Understanding of Venture Capital sector

• Relationship & Pipeline management experience

• FINRA licensing SIE, 63 and 79 required or due within 150 days of hire

• Experience with Salesforce, Pitchbook, Fact Set a plus

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, MS Word, Access, Excel, and PowerPoint knowledge

Education

• Bachelor’s/University degree or equivalent experience
