Reports to: Chief Financial Officer

We are seeking an experienced and detail‑oriented Controller for our Digital Asset Treasury to oversee the financial integrity, reporting, controls, and operational processes surrounding our portfolio of digital assets. This role is critical to ensuring accurate accounting, regulatory compliance, risk management, and operational excellence across all on‑chain and off‑chain treasury activities. The ideal candidate has public company experience, deep knowledge of accounting standards, and functional knowledge of digital asset markets, blockchain operations, and treasury best practices.

• Establish, maintain, and continuously improve internal controls for digital asset custody, movement, and reconciliation.
• Oversee end‑to‑end accounting for digital assets, including recognition, valuation, impairment, and fair‑value reporting.
• Manage month‑end and quarter‑end close processes related to digital asset positions, flows, staking/validator rewards, transaction fees, and realized/unrealized gains/losses.
• Ensure adherence to applicable accounting standards (e.g., U.S. GAAP, IFRS) regarding digital assets.
• Maintain accurate general ledger entries for on‑chain and off‑chain transactions.

• Oversee multi‑signature wallets, institutional custodians, exchange accounts, and automated on‑chain treasury infrastructure.
• Implement treasury workflows for deposits, withdrawals, staking/lending operations, and liquidity movements.
• Ensure segregation of duties in key treasury processes.
• Drive process improvement and automation efforts across the company.
• Evaluate, implement, and optimize the use of treasury management systems, blockchain analytics tools, and custodial platforms.
• Maintain compliance with relevant regulatory requirements across jurisdictions (AML/KYC, tax, reporting standards, custody rules).
• Support audits (financial, technical, regulatory) and serve as the primary point of contact for internal and external auditors.
• Ensure secure key management practices and contribute to custodial policy development.

• Prepare detailed internal and external reporting on holdings, flows, valuations, liquidity, and performance.
• Prepare all necessary SEC / Regulatory filings.
• Maintain cashflow forecasts and token liquidity needs.
• Produce management dashboards and board‑level reporting for company performance and digital asset positions.
• Partner with investment teams and external vendors to develop automated reporting and reconciliation tools.

• Work closely with the CFO, COO, and Investment Team to design treasury architecture that aligns with company strategy.
• Work closely with the Leadership Team to evaluate and implement new products and strategies.
• Provide recommendations to leadership team on attaining financial objectives.
• Manage/ supervise internal and external accounting teams.
• Evaluate new custodians, liquidity providers, DeFi platforms, and blockchain networks for potential integration.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in treasury, accounting, or financial control in a publicly traded company.
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage complex datasets.
• Demonstrates integrity and utmost ethical judgment in all financial and operational activities.
• Proficiency in reconciliation tools, treasury management systems, and accounting software such as Netsuite, Ramp, etc.

• CPA, CFA, or equivalent certification.
• Experience automating or scaling financial control processes using engineering tools.
• Experience with crypto‑native companies, exchanges, custodians, or fintechs.
• Some knowledge of digital asset accounting practices, blockchain mechanics, and treasury operations including crypto specific accounting systems such as Cryptio.
• Experience with digital asset custody operations, multisig wallets, or institutional custodians.
• Familiarity with DeFi, staking, yield strategies, and on‑chain risk assessment.
