Match Bukh Talent Solutions is partnering with a mission-driven, multi-site organization to identify an experienced Controller to oversee all accounting and financial operations and support the Chief Financial Officer in driving fiscal strategy, operational efficiency, and compliance.

This is a confidential direct-hire opportunity with a respected California-based organization focused on providing essential community services and sustainable growth. The Controller will lead all aspects of accounting, financial reporting, and internal controls while managing a high-performing finance team. This position is fully remote, though quarterly travel to Northern California is required for in-person collaboration.

• Oversee day-to-day finance operations including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger functions.
• Ensure accuracy and compliance of all financial reporting in accordance with GAAP, federal, and state regulations.
• Manage financial statement preparation, monthly close, and audit readiness.
• Lead and mentor a finance team of 4–5 professionals, promoting collaboration, accountability, and professional development.
• Direct annual audits, tax filings, and grant compliance reporting.
• Develop, maintain, and enhance internal controls and financial policies.
• Manage cash flow forecasting, budgeting, and financial analysis in partnership with the CFO.
• Provide insights and recommendations on cost efficiencies, financial performance, and process improvement.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or MBA strongly preferred).
• Minimum 7 years of progressive financial management experience, including at least 3 years in a supervisory role.
• Deep understanding of GAAP, internal controls, compliance, and nonprofit financial operations.
• Experience with grant and contract management, cost reporting, and fund accounting preferred.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and leadership skills.
• Proficiency with accounting systems, payroll platforms, and advanced Excel.
• Must reside in California and be available to travel to Northern California at least once per quarter or as needed with short notice.
