KPMG is currently seeking a Senior Associate, SALT Income Franchise - Consulting to join our State and Local Tax (SALT) practice.
Responsibilities
- Work as part of a national multi-disciplinary state income tax consulting team helping clients with their most complex state tax issues, including organizational structure optimization, identifying refund opportunities, developing and delivering technology solutions, and general consulting matters
- Assist multi-national companies with state tax return review engagements focused on identifying and securing state income tax refunds
- Research and draft technical memoranda or slide decks regarding income, franchise, sales and use tax, and other state and local tax questions
- Build and manage client relationships and supervise, mentor, and develop associates
- Minimum two years of recent experience performing tax research, reviewing state income tax returns and providing technical advice on multi-state income tax issues
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university; CPA, EA or JD/LLM preferred
- Ability to develop business and foster relationships both internally as well as with clients
- Excellent writing, compliance, communication, management and tax research skills
- Ability and desire to perform in a high-energy team environment

California Salary Range: $86900 - $174600
