A fast-growing private equity fund with over $5B in AUM is seeking a Controller to join its lean and dynamic finance team. This is a newly created role designed to support the firm’s continued growth, expansion into new strategies, and increasing operational complexity.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment and wants to play a critical role in building out the finance infrastructure of a top-tier investment platform.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee all aspects of fund accounting, management company accounting, and reporting
• Manage external fund administrators, auditors, and tax providers
• Partner with investment and operations teams to support deal activity and portfolio company oversight
• Lead the implementation and enhancement of financial systems and processes
• Assist in preparing materials for LP reporting and fundraising efforts
• Ensure compliance with internal controls and industry best practices
• Potential to build and lead a small team over time

Qualifications:

• CPA preferred
• 8–12 years of relevant experience, ideally a mix of public accounting (Big 4 or equivalent) and private equity fund experience
• Deep understanding of private equity structures, fund operations, and industry best practices
• Hands-on, process-oriented, and comfortable working in a growing, evolving environment
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
