We're managing a search for a CFO for a $300m revenue, PE-Backed, e-commerce marketplace that is in full growth mode as they push toward an exit in c.24 months. The role will be a business partner to the CEO and rejuvenate the strategic finance capability, KPI based reporting, and manage multiple investors and stakeholders.

Along the way, you'll be part of an incredible team, full of low ego but high-caliber individuals pushing toward the same goal. You will maintain key close processes in partnership with the holding company, lead internal processes related to budgeting and strategic planning and formally own the rhythm with the board, including preparation of materials, crafting of the story and strategic positioning.

The ideal leader for this role is a highly driven and experienced finance leader with a desire to scale a growing company and position it strategically to win over the next 3 years.

What you'll be doing

• Financial Reporting: Deliver timely and accurate financial and KPI reporting.
• Financial Controls & Risk Management: Implement disciplined cost and cash management practices. Optimize vendor contracts, manage liquidity, and oversee banking infrastructure. Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and risk management standards.
• Lender Management: Maintain strong relationships with lenders, manage monthly reporting, and ensure covenant compliance.
• Strategy & Forecasting: Lead budgeting and forecasting processes with high accuracy. Develop strategic capital allocation processes and drive performance accountability through regular business reviews.
• Leadership & Organizational Development: Serve as a strategic thought partner to the CEO and Board. Develop a scalable finance and accounting team, recruit top talent, and ensure the finance function is a strategic competency.

What you need to have done

• Proven experience in financial leadership roles, preferably in e-commerce or PE-backed companies.
• Experience of taking a PE-backed company through a successful exit
• Strong background in financial reporting, KPI management, and strategic finance.
• Excellent relationship-building skills with lenders and stakeholders.
• Experience in managing finance, accounting, and legal departments.
• Ability to drive strategic initiatives and manage risk effectively.
