Senior Mechanical Engineer (MEP) - HVAC Systems

Location: Northern California (Office-based with occasional site travel)

Rate: Approx. $65/hour (negotiable depending on experience + overtime)

Are you an experienced Mechanical Engineer looking to take the next step in your career with a well-established, specialist MEP contractor? We're seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to lead the design and delivery of HVAC systems for major commercial developments across Northern California.

You'll join a highly regarded niche contractor known for delivering complex mechanical projects to the highest standard. Working closely with project teams, you'll take responsibility for the full lifecycle of HVAC systems - from design coordination and specification through to installation support and commissioning oversight.

This role will be primarily office-based
, with occasional visits to site to ensure design intent is met and to collaborate with clients and contractors.

• Minimum 3-4 years' experience in mechanical (MEP) engineering, ideally within commercial building projects
• Strong knowledge of HVAC systems design, coordination, and installation
• A degree in Mechanical Engineering (preferred, not essential)
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
• A proactive mindset and ability to work with autonomy
