Embedded Flight Software Engineer

Our client is a mission-driven space technology company headquartered in San Francisco, developing next-generation flight systems for orbital and suborbital platforms. Backed by significant funding and moving at start-up speed, they are building out a core flight software group to support an aggressive development and test cadence. This team owns software that operates at the lowest levels of the vehicle and is central to mission success.

• Ownership of foundational flight software on a new space platform

• Strong C++ experience building low-level, performance-sensitive systems
• Background developing software for embedded, real-time, or safety-critical platforms
• Experience in aerospace, defense, autonomy, or high-performance robotics is a strong plus
• A disciplined engineering mindset with attention to reliability and failure modes
• Comfort working in a fast-moving environment with high ownership and accountability.
