Key Job Responsibilities- Lead and manage the lifecycle of challenging cross‑functional projects, acting as owner of project objectives and targets.
- Participate in firm engineering reviews and shape solutions on individual systems, overall architecture, and facility processes.
- Set project priorities, establish milestones, and drive schedules with internal teams, stakeholders, and external vendors.
- Coordinate all execution efforts, including equipment/system installation, throughput and safety qualifications, and removal of bottlenecks.
- Lead effective meetings, document decisions, and ensure alignment among partner teams and vendors.
- Communicate project status, risk analysis, and mitigation plans to leadership and management.
- Articulate system and equipment designs, including layouts, technical specifications, and functional capabilities.
- Manage change order controls, purchase orders, and invoice validation/approvals.
- Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders across multiple projects.
- Identify and lead process improvement initiatives to enhance engineering and cross‑team efficiencies.
- Travel up to 75% domestically; travel intensity may include up to three weeks in a row, including weekends.
You manage one or multiple projects that vary in scope, complexity, and duration. Daily tasks include site coordination with operations teams and contractors, deep diving project progress, schedule, and resources, creating solutions, and driving resolutions. You facilitate planning and implementation meetings, capture and publish detailed notes, and review and approve sorter system functional specification documents. You may also support/training other engineering team members and perform acceptance testing of systems, communicating progress to stakeholders.

Global Engineering Services (GES) North America Operations Engineering delivers material handling system launches, retrofits, and innovations across North America. The OE Execution Team is responsible for automation infrastructure projects related to material handling, storage, processing, and delivery of products throughout First and Middle Miles in all regions.

- Bachelor’s degree in industrial or manufacturing engineering (or related field)
- 4+ years of industrial engineering, operations engineering, manufacturing engineering, or project engineering in a manufacturing environment
- Experience working with material handling equipment (MHE) and automated material handling systems
- Knowledge of packaging technologies and storage solutions
- Intermediate knowledge of AutoCAD, VBA, and SQL
- Experience managing third‑party vendors and cross‑functional teams
- Knowledge of Six Sigma, lean manufacturing, and Microsoft Office (advanced Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Visio, MS Project)
- Strong communication, risk management, and change control skills
- 75% regional travel and ability to work from a corporate office when not traveling

- Master’s degree in engineering, management, or technology
- Experience working with and managing third‑party vendors
- Experience with Six Sigma, lean manufacturing
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Visio, and MS Project
