Compensation: $150,000 to $250,000 base depending on experience
Experience Level: Mid level to Senior with 2+ years of professional embedded experience

Their team is made up of engineers who have shipped production hardware at some of the most respected robotics and hardware companies in the world. Everything is built in house, giving engineers real ownership over the systems that go into the field.
The RoleOur client is hiring a Firmware and Embedded Engineer to help design and own the core systems that power their custom hardware platforms. This is a hands on role covering firmware, embedded systems, and board bring up. The engineer will work on systems that move from prototype all the way into production and real world deployment.
The role is part of a growing team of firmware and electrical engineers, working closely with mechanical and robotics teams, with a high level of autonomy and technical influence.
Responsibilities- Design and bring up custom electrical boards and embedded systems
- Develop and maintain firmware for motor drivers and safety critical systems
- Build debugging tools and interfaces used by technicians and engineers
- Own firmware reliability, safety certification, and performance in the field
- Lead smaller hardware bring ups from prototype to production
- Collaborate across firmware, electrical, and mechanical teams
- Strong experience with embedded C and C++
- Deep understanding of motor control and motor drive firmware
- Experience working with RTOS, real time constraints, and microcontroller networking
- Hands on board bring up and debugging experience
- Ability to explain and defend technical decisions
- Robotics or motion control experience
- Automotive, aerospace, or deep tech hardware background
- Exposure to humanoid robotics
- Strong personal or professional project portfolio
An engineering background is preferred. Candidates with experience from high impact programs or institutions such as MIT, CMU, or Waterloo are highly valued, though not required.
