Founding Full Stack Engineer

We're assisting a well-funded, one-person startup with their first hire: a founding full-stack engineer. Their product provides SMBs with dedicated tax advisers and AI-optimized tax strategies. The role will work onsite in SF, and they're planning to go to market in the next few months.

• Contribute to the technical vision and product direction as a core team member

• Design, develop, test, and support features for our web and backend applications

• Architect and build cutting-edge AI document extraction and agentic systems

• Build internal tooling for tax advisor and client collaboration

• Take ownership of projects from concept to production

• Work with the latest large language models and cutting-edge AI

• Collaborate directly with clients and platforms

• Customer and product obsessed

• Excited about solving unsolved problems

• Capable of growing into a leadership position and running an engineering team

• Have 2+ years of startup engineering experience; studied CS/AI or have equivalent experience

• Have built and shipped products to end users from zero to 1, and beyond

• Sweat the details (no problem is too small)
