Responsibilities

• Designing, developing, and testing mechanical components, assemblies, and systems for robotic platforms.

• Creating detailed 3D models, drawings, and specifications using CAD software (Solid Works).

• Supporting the integration of mechanical systems with electronic and software components.

• Troubleshooting and debugging mechanical systems to ensure functionality and reliability.

• Finding and testing materials and manufacturing processes to enhance robotic systems.

• Ensuring compliance with industry standards and safety regulations.

• Leading failure analysis and risk assessment for mechanical components in robotic systems.

• Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including electrical, industrial design, and software engineers, to ensure seamless system integration.

• Staying updated on emerging technologies and trends in mechanical design and robotics.

Qualifications

Required

• Bachelor s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, or a related field.

• Strong proficiency in 3D modeling and CAD software (e.g., Solid Works).

• Knowledge of materials science, structural mechanics, and thermal properties.

• Familiarity with manufacturing techniques such as CNC machining, 3D printing, and injection molding.
• +3 years of experience in designing products for medium- or large-scale production.

• Experience with rapid prototyping.

• Effective communication and documentation skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to diverse stakeholders.

• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, or a related field.
• +5 years of experience in designing products for medium- or large-scale production.

• Knowledge of robotics-specific mechanisms such as robotic arms, grippers, and mobile robots.

• Experience with kinematics, dynamics, and control systems.

• Familiarity with pneumatics, hydraulics, and actuation systems.

• Experience with autonomous mobile robots (AMRs).

• Knowledge of finite element analysis (FEA) and computational fluid dynamics (CFD).
