Packaging Engineer

The Engineer is responsible for engineering, drawing, and executing stock component developments. He/She will work closely with the Product Development team to bring new packages to the market accurately. He/She will also work with the factories to ensure the packages are produced within the Bare Escentuals quality standards.

• Work with Product Development and Creative to source new packages
• Work with the factories to ensure the components are produced according to the drawings
• Setup quality standards for new components
• Approve production samples and production drawings
• Setup testing of new components
• Setup range boards
• Setup defect boards
• Maintain organized specifications of components and assembly procedures
• Responsible for the Packaging Testing lab
• Other projects and assistance as needed

• BS in Packaging Engineering/Science or like degree in Engineering
• A minimum of 2 years of work experience
• Experience in consumer products
• Good organizational skills
• Self-starter
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to discuss technical issues in non-technical terms
• Ability to read engineering drawings
• Efficient in Microsoft Office, Outlook, Project, Access
