Director of Engineering

We’re looking for a senior engineering leader to own execution, delivery, and team structure as Context

AI scales. This role is intentionally scoped to allow growth both above and below as the organization expands.

• Own delivery across a distributed engineering team
• Translate company priorities into executable plans under fast growth conditions
• Establish clear ownership, operating rhythms, and accountability
• Maintain quality, reliability, and production readiness
• Partner closely with product and sales to ship customer-impacting work
• Engage directly in technical design and implementation when needed

• Experience leading teams across locations and time zones
• Strong judgment in process selection – just enough structure to scale without execution.
• Technical depth to review PR’s, apply standards and best practices, personally evaluate work, unblock teams, and contribute directly when necessary.
• Comfort working with a growing staff of in‑house engineers and external contributors
• Calm, outcome‑oriented leadership style

This role is responsible for taking a fast‑moving engineering team and scaling it into a durable, high‑output organization. You’ll shape how engineering operates as the company grows—how priorities are set, how teams execute across time zones, and how reliability and velocity improve together rather than trade off. Your work will directly determine whether Context

QA can move from a strong product to a repeatable, scalable platform.
