I’m working with a well-funded, early-stage company building wearable AI hardware for one of the largest and most operationally complex industries in the world. The team is developing rugged, body-worn cameras and embedded systems designed to operate all day in extreme jobsite conditions, with real-time on-device processing.

This company has raised $10M+ from top-tier investors, secured strategic distribution through a top U.S. manufacturer, and assembled a rare team combining engineers from leading AI/hardware organizations with deep industry operators. They are scaling production ahead of a public launch in early 2026.

You’ll build and ship firmware that powers next-generation wearable devices used by millions of frontline workers. You’ll work closely with hardware, ML, and manufacturing teams across the full product lifecycle—from architecture and prototyping through volume production.

• Develop embedded software for platforms such as STM
  32, ESP
  32, and Linux-based systems
• Write and maintain drivers for cameras, audio, wireless, IMU, and environmental sensors
• Implement real-time algorithms and on-device ML inference
• Build secure provisioning, OTA updates, and device telemetry systems
• Optimize power consumption for 8+ hour continuous operation
• Support hardware bring-up, debugging, and manufacturing readiness

• BS in EE, CE, or related field
• 4+ years of embedded systems / firmware experience
• Strong C/C++ in resource-constrained environments
• Experience with at least one major MCU platform (STM
  32, ESP
  32, nRF, etc.)
• Comfortable debugging hardware-software issues using lab tools and schematics

• Shipped a full product lifecycle in wearables, cameras, or IoT
• Experience with RTOS (FreeRTOS, Zephyr)
• Embedded security (secure boot, provisioning, device auth)
• Familiarity with edge ML inference frameworks
