A long term contract opportunity is available for an Automation Subject Matter Expert for Building Automation Systems Projects. This position is on-site in California working 40 hours/week. Contract duration is 1 year with high probability of renewal.
The Automation SME will act as an "Owner's Representative" and make decisions for the owner as the Design and Construction process moves through the various project stages. This requires a detailed understanding of the Owner's Master Specs and guidelines, California code and regulations (Title 24) and a technical background in Siemens Desigo and ALC WebCTRL.
Responsibilities- Supporting BAS & BMS through Design & Construction phases as the Subject Matter Expert
- Connect & collaborate with key user groups to identify URS
- Foster collaboration between design firms, site stakeholders, automation vendors to ensure URS are incorporated and delivered.
- Ensure design aligns with Master Specification and any other relevant documentation and business processes.
- Review Schedule to ensure all necessary details are defined with agreed lead times
- Review Vendor Scope Proposals to ensure Vendor execution matches project intended scope and project requirements
- Oversee FAT as required
- Review Construction progress and critical oversight is completed.
- Confirm training requirements and documentation requirements are met.
- Review overall project execution and document lessons learned and best practices.
- 10+ years of experience working with Automation Systems within Building Automation.
- Experience working on Building Automation Projects from the Design to Construction Phases.
- Experience managing multiple BAS Projects
- Previous experience as an "Owner's Rep" for Automation Design & Construction Projects.
- Strong understanding of California code and Regulations (Title 24).
- Strong technical background in Siemens Desigo and Automation Logic Company WebCTRL System.
