What You Will Do- Lead the design and development of precision tooling, inserts, and fixtures for epoxy molding and encapsulation.
- Create detailed CAD, drawings, and specifications that support both rapid iteration and high‑volume manufacturing.
- Drive experimentation to evaluate new tooling concepts, material behaviors, and process conditions.
- Collaborate closely with Materials Science, Product Design, and Manufacturing Engineering to integrate new tools into Oura’s production workflows.
- Partner with global manufacturing teams and suppliers to prototype, build, qualify, and scale new tooling solutions.
- Support the development of process documentation, standards, and best practices.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Product Design Engineering, or related field. 6+ years (Senior) or 10+ years (Staff) of experience in tooling design, molding processes, or high‑precision manufacturing.
- Strong proficiency in 3D CAD (NX preferred) and engineering drawing practices.
- Experience developing tooling for epoxy molding, encapsulation, or polymer‑based manufacturing processes.
- Ability to run experiments, collect data, analyze results, and translate insights into design or process improvements.
- Experience collaborating with automation, equipment vendors, and global manufacturing partners.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively across disciplines.

Oura takes a market‑based approach to pay, which may vary depending on your location. US locations are categorized into tiers based on a cost of labor index for that geographic area. While most offers will be closer to the starting range, successful candidates’ pay will be determined based on job‑related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, internal peer equity, and market conditions.
These ranges may be modified in the future.

- Region 2 $ 169,000 - $211,000
