Job Description & How to Apply Below

At Foster + Partners, we deliver some of the most ambitious and technically advanced architecture in the world — the kind of projects that redefine skylines, push innovation, and set new benchmarks for global design.

Behind every iconic building is exceptional coordination. Not just brilliant design — but the systems, standards, and workflows that make complex delivery feel effortless.

We’re looking for a BIM Coordinator who thrives in that space. Someone who loves bringing clarity to complexity, raising the quality bar, and helping project teams perform at their best. This is a highly visible role with real influence — embedded within live project teams and connected to a wider, practice-leading BIM function.

If you’re motivated by world-class design, multidisciplinary collaboration, and the satisfaction of making delivery truly run clean — this role is built for you.

The opportunity

This is a key role within Foster + Partners’ BIM capability — supporting project delivery in line with our wider BIM strategy, working across multiple teams and studios.

As BIM Coordinator
, you’ll be the single point of contact for BIM coordination on your project(s). You’ll oversee model coordination, ensure optimisation of workflows and associated technologies, and help deliver coordinated models, data, reports, and project documentation throughout the lifecycle of the project.

You won’t just be maintaining models — you’ll be shaping how teams work, ensuring standards are consistently applied, and supporting technical upskilling and mentoring across the studio environment.

What you’ll be doing
  • Coordinating BIM delivery across one or more live projects, supporting teams working in Revit and associated tools
  • Organising, configuring and maintaining BIM project setup and ongoing model management
  • Managing Revit project production and content to keep delivery clean, consistent and efficient

Running coordination processes including clash detection and producing clear, actionable reports (e.g., via Navisworks)
  • Ensuring Foster + Partners’ BIM standards, procedures and workflows are applied — and communicated clearly to project teams
  • Providing technical support for BIM-enabling software applications and project delivery technology
  • Supporting mentoring and technical upskilling within the studio, sharing best practice and raising capability
  • Liaising with Client BIM representatives and wider stakeholders to ensure smooth model coordination and data transfer
  • Working closely with the Central BIM Group to ensure updates to standards/workflows are effectively embedded into projects
  • Ensuring BIM contractual requirements are met, with clear attention to risk and quality
What we’re looking for

This role suits someone with strong BIM fundamentals and calm confident coordination skills — someone who can keep multiple moving parts aligned without drama.

You’ll bring:

  • Proven experience as a BIM Coordinator on medium to large-scale projects in Revit
  • Strong working knowledge of Revit, AutoCAD and Navisworks
, including clash detection and reporting
  • The ability to manage multiple priorities and work across more than one project where needed
  • Excellent organisation and communication skills (written + verbal) — you can translate technical detail into usable action
  • A collaborative mindset and a proactive approach to solving problems early
  • A flexible, open attitude to new workflows and continuous development
  • A degree in Architecture / Architectural Technology (or equivalent experience)

You’ll also be legally eligible to work in the country in which the role is based.

Why Foster + Partners

Because you want to work at the top end of global design.

At Foster + Partners, BIM is not a box-ticking exercise — it’s a fundamental part of how great work gets delivered. You’ll collaborate with exceptional teams, contribute to high-profile projects, and be part of a practice that invests heavily in quality, improvement, and professional growth.

This role offers genuine career momentum: deep project exposure, leading-edge delivery standards, and the chance to be part of a firm where excellence isn’t marketing — it’s the operating system.
