The Language, Speech, and Hearing Specialist evaluates and remediates students with oral, language, voice, fluency, and auditory disorders within a diverse public school district.
Qualifications include a valid California teaching credential for language, speech, and hearing handicapped students and successful experience in meeting the needs of such pupils.
Key duties involve screening, evaluating, developing instructional programs, collaborating with staff, consulting with parents, and maintaining records.
The role requires coordinating with teachers, paraprofessionals, and the community, and participating in meetings and training.
Work is full-time, Monday through Friday, during school days plus non-teaching days, with salary based on experience and training.
Minimum education:
Bachelor's degree; certification: appropriate California credential.
