. At Tutor Me Education, we are revolutionizing the way students learn, and we're seeking passionate teachers and tutors with special education experience to provide 1:1 in-home tutoring in San Francisco, CA!
About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Special Education tutor to provide individualized general academic support to a 4th-grade student. The tutor will work in a one-on-one setting and support learning through structured, engaging, and developmentally appropriate instruction.
- Weekend schedule flexibility available
- 1.5 to 2 hours once a week
- Start ASAP
- Provide in-person academic support in Geometry, English, and World History
- Adapt lessons to meet the student’s learning needs and IEP accommodations
- Simplify complex topics and reinforce foundational skills
- Support student focus, comprehension, and study habits
- Communicate progress and challenges as needed
- Background or experience in Special Education (required)
- Strong knowledge of high school Geometry, English, and World History
- Experience working with students who have IEPs
- Patient, reliable, and able to commit long-term
- Willingness to travel to the student’s location
- Available for weekly 2-hour sessions
