The Family Engagement & Program Support Coordinator serves as a key representative for Early Childhood Education (ECE) programs. This role combines classroom support (approximately 25–30% daily), enrollment and family recruitment, and community engagement across multiple sites. The coordinator supports teachers, assists with staff coverage, plans family and community events, and builds strong relationships with families to ensure high-quality care.
Job Responsibilities Classroom & Program Support- Provide classroom assistance and cover staff breaks daily.
- Support classroom activities to maintain safe, engaging, and developmentally appropriate learning environments.
- Develop and implement strategies to increase enrollment and maintain waitlists.
- Represent the YMCA at community events, fairs, and meetings in a professional manner.
- Collaborate with leadership to plan recruitment campaigns and monitor enrollment metrics.
- Organize and lead family engagement events, workshops, and celebrations.
- Facilitate Parent Advisory Committees and volunteer initiatives.
- Act as a liaison between families and programs, ensuring clear communication and positive relationships.
- Assist with administrative tasks related to enrollment, engagement, hiring, and program initiatives.
- Prepare materials, communications, and promotional content.
- Maintain accurate records of events and family participation.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support program operations.
- Occasional travel to multiple YMCA ECE sites and community locations for events and recruitment.
- Evening and weekend work may be required for special events.
- Collaborative, team-oriented environment with regular communication and adherence to organizational policies.
- Must successfully complete a background screening, including criminal and employment verification. Some positions may also require a credit check.

The Program Support & Family Engagement Coordinator position rate is $37.00 to $38.00 based on salary benchmarking for similar roles and is aligned with budget approvals and requirements for the position.
