Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of young people? As an After School Program Leader at the Marin YMCA, you’ll have the opportunity to create meaningful and enriching experiences for students at local elementary and middle schools. You’ll work under the guidance of Program Site Coordinators and Directors. After School Program Leaders will support students in developing academic, physical, and social skills through tutoring, mentorship, and recreational activities.

• Program Development & Implementation
  • Develop, implement, and participate in specialized and theme-based curriculum tailored to meet the developmental, cultural, and individual needs of participants.
  • Deliver program content and facilitation methods that align with established child safety protocols as outlined by YMCA of San Francisco guidelines.
  • Apply Out of School Time best practices to ensure consistent, high-quality, and safe programming.
  • Collaborate with parents, participants, and staff to plan youth program activities that foster engagement and development.
• Participant Supervision & Safety
  • Monitor participant activities, enforce safety regulations, and respond promptly to emergencies in both virtual and in-person environments.
  • Ensure all programs comply with safety and security standards as per YMCA of San Francisco guidelines.
  • Uphold YMCA policies regarding safety, supervision, mandated reporting, and risk management practices.
• Leadership & Role Modeling
  • Serve as a positive role model for staff, children, and volunteers, promoting a supportive and inclusive environment.
