The Integrated Care Center Clinic is a federally qualified health centers that provide primary care, behavioral health, addiction treatment, psychiatry, dental care, and more. We provide care to those most in need including those who are suffering from homelessness, mental illness, substance use, chronic medical conditions. We provide team based care in an integrated care setting. It is the responsibility of the Staff Physician – MD/DO – to act as a clinical leader by providing high quality primary care services to Health RIGHT
360 (HR360) patients in an integrated delivery model, and promoting team functioning.
Coverage can be provided by the on-call staff either at the ICC (1563 Mission Street) or our San Mateo MAT Clinic (117 San Mateo Drive).
Clinical Care Responsibilities- Provide comprehensive care, within the scope of credentialed privileges and standardized procedures, to HR360 patients within an integrated delivery model according to pre-arranged schedules, documenting care promptly and following charting protocols and applicable CA state licensing requirements.
- Completes patient sessions in a timely manner; ensure appropriate follow-up for all aspects of ordered care (e.g., specialty referrals, laboratory results, radiology reports, etc.); respond to patient requests for information and assistance (e.g., form completion, prescription refills, etc.) in a timely manner.
- Work collaboratively with mental health staff to facilitate integration between primary care and mental health in order to improve patient outcomes.
- Provides on‑call after‑hours availability on a rotating basis, as requested by supervisor; obtain and maintain licensure, DEA registration and BCLS/CPR certification.
- Attends continuing professional education programs, at the request or with the approval of supervisor, demonstrating participation in required hours of continuing medical education according to California law.
Complete all mandatory trainings as required.

Education and ExperienceRequired:
- Graduation from an accredited allopathic or osteopathic medical school
- Possession of a valid California license as a physician
- Possession of national board certification in appropriate field.
- Possession of BCLS/CPR certification
- Possession of DEA Controlled Substances Registration Certificate
- Minimum 2‑3 years of practice in community health center or relevant practice/experience
- Experience with EPIC
- Experience working with populations with varying lifestyles, ages, sexual orientations, ethnic and cultural backgrounds and economic status
- Experience working successfully with issues of substance abuse, mental health, criminal background, and other potential barriers to economic self‑sufficiency
- Spanish, Cantonese, Vietnamese or other Medicaid threshold language
- Culturally competent and able to work with a diverse population.
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, specifically Word, Outlook and internet applications.
- Knowledge of third party payer regulations, California practice guidelines and malpractice laws, Title 22, HIPAA regulations, Bureau of Primary Health Care FQHC program regulations.
