The Integrated Care Center Clinic is a federally qualified health center that provides primary care, behavioral health, addiction treatment, psychiatry, dental care, and more. We provide care to those most in need including those who are suffering from homelessness, mental illness, substance use, and chronic medical conditions. We provide team based care in an integrated care setting. The Supervising Psychiatrist is primarily responsible for providing clinical supervision and consultation to Psychiatric Nurse Practitioners regarding psychiatric care, medication management and intervention services to the patients of the Health

RIGHT 360 Clinics. The psychiatrist provides supervision and oversight for Advanced Psychiatric Practice Providers, including entering into Collaborative Agreements, providing full and clinical supervision, and having input in the clinical review, performance appraisal, peer review and hiring and termination of Advanced Psychiatric Practice Providers. The Psychiatrist may also provide supervision to fellows, residents, and students as appropriate. The Psychiatrist may also provide consultative support to providers as needed including training.

Services may be provided in person or via telehealth.

May be required to work evenings and weekends.

This is a part time position for 2-4 hours each week.

Key Responsibilities

Clinical Responsibilities

  • Analyze and evaluate patient data and tests or findings to diagnose the nature and extent of any mental disorder.
  • Prescribe, direct, and administer psychotherapeutic treatments or medications to treat mental, emotional, or behavioral disorders.
  • Gather and maintain patient information and records, including social and medical history obtained from patients, relatives, or other professionals.
  • Design individualized care plans for patients.
  • Collaborate with physicians, psychologists, mid-levels, social workers, and other professionals to discuss treatment plans and progress.
  • Practice using evidence-based practices.
  • Provide services via a telehealth visit.

Agency Development/Support Responsibilities

  • Participate as a member of the Integrated Care model.
  • Participate in the clinic performance improvement program.
  • Participate in integration and staff meetings as required.
  • Support and adhere to Health

    RIGHT 360 policies and procedures.
  • May be required to work evenings and weekends.

Leadership/Supervision Responsibilities

  • Provide full and clinical supervision and oversight for Advanced Psychiatric Practice Providers, including entering into collaborative agreements.
  • Provide clinical supervision and have input in the clinical review, performance appraisal, peer review and hiring and termination of providers and clinical support staff.
  • Provide supervision for the medical assistant that functions under the purview of the provider, including having input in the clinical review, performance appraisal, and hiring and termination.
  • And perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications

Education and Experience

  • M.D. or D.O. degree from an accredited United States medical school.
  • Successful completion of internship and residency in psychiatry with experience managing patients with substance use disorder/addiction.
  • Board Licensed in Psychiatry
  • Valid and active California medical license, without any limitations on license to practice in specialty
  • Eligible to participate in the CMS Medicaid/Medicare reimbursement programs.

Three to five years experience as a licensed psychiatrist

  • Must complete background check and Live Scan.
  • COVID-19 vaccine and booster is required for this position. Exemptions are not accepted.
