Assistant/Associate/Full Professor of Surgery – Pediatric Surgeon

The Department of Surgery, Division of Pediatric Surgery at the University of California, San Francisco is seeking outstanding candidates for a full-time academic surgeon with an exemplary record of patient care and expertise in Pediatric Surgery. Candidates must be board eligible/board certified and have completed or will complete by the time of hire an accredited Pediatric Surgery fellowship. Applicants' materials must list (pending) qualifications upon submission.
The start date for employment is planned for Fall 2027.
- Focus and experience in the care of children with trauma, with an academic emphasis in this area.
- Interest and experience in aerodigestive diseases in children, particularly related to complex esophageal atresia and tracheo-esophageal fistula and related conditions.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary teams.
- Clinical activities will be focused at UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospital Oakland.
- Contribute to the education of surgery residents and medical students and participate in the Department's residency training and educational programs.
- Board eligible or board certified in Pediatric Surgery.
- Completed or completing an accredited Pediatric Surgery fellowship by the time of hire.
- Strong teaching, research, and clinical skills aligned with the Department’s educational and clinical missions.
The posted UC salary scales establish the minimum pay by rank and step minimum base salary range for this position is $154,700 – $405,900. This position includes membership in the health sciences compensation plan, which provides eligibility for additional compensation.
