Overview

The Department of Radiology and Biomedical Imaging is seeking a Pediatric Radiologist for a faculty position. The selected candidate will be appointed at the rank of Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor in the Clinical X, In Residence, or HS Clinical series depending on qualifications and interests. The selected candidate will work at the UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospital in San Francisco and Oakland with a group of dedicated pediatric radiologists in an environment of excellent clinical care, teaching and research.

Faculty are expected to develop a clinical or more basic research program in the area of one’s specialty focus. The faculty will supervise and teach residents, fellows and medical students in pediatric radiology. Obligations will include clinical work at UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospital in San Francisco and Oakland, but may also involve clinical work at other UCSF Health sites.

Responsibilities

• Perform clinical radiology duties in pediatric radiology as part of a multidisciplinary team.

• Supervise and teach residents, fellows, and medical students in pediatric radiology.

• Develop and pursue a clinical or basic research program in the applicant’s area of specialty focus.

• Conduct clinical work at UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospital in San Francisco and Oakland, with possible clinical work at other UCSF Health sites.

Qualifications

• MD degree (or equivalent).

• Ability to practice medicine in California.

• Expertise in pediatric radiology and completion of fellowship training in pediatric radiology.

• Board certified (or eligible) by the American Board of Radiology (A ) or prepared to enter the A  Alternate Pathway. Applicant materials must list current and/or pending qualifications at submission.

• Selected candidate must meet all qualifications at the time of appointment.

• Faculty are expected to obtain a Certificate of Added Qualification (CAQ) in Pediatric Radiology after the start of their faculty appointment, when eligible.

The posted UC salary scales set the minimum pay determined by rank and step  Table 5. The minimum base salary range for this position is $149,700–$393,200. This position includes membership in the health sciences compensation plan with eligibility for additional compensation.
