Urgent Care Physician; MD

A Career With UCSF Health-GoHealth Urgent Care offers an opportunity for a physician with urgent care or emergency room experience, treating both adult and pediatric patients, to join our welcoming and diverse community of San Francisco providers. We are considering full-time, part-time or per diem (PRN) schedules.

You would provide a wide variety of clinical services including treatment of acute episodic conditions such as sore throats, colds, flu-like symptoms, cuts, sprains and minor infections. It is essential to have excellent assessment skills in order to recognize more serious conditions and direct the patient to the emergency room for advanced care when necessary while going above and beyond to deliver an unparalleled patient experience.

• Provide clinical services for acute episodic conditions for both adult and pediatric patients.
• Assess patients to identify more serious conditions and direct appropriate care (e.g., escalation to emergency services when needed).
• Deliver a high-quality, patient-centered experience in a fast-paced urgent care environment.
• Collaborate with UCSF Health resources and specialists as needed to support patient care.
• Operate within state- and facility-specific guidelines and maintain high standards of safety and quality care.

• One year of full-time experience in an Urgent Care or Emergency Medicine setting preferred.
• Experience treating both pediatric and adult patient populations (all ages) required.
• Comfortable with minor procedures (sutures, casts, splints, etc.), and preliminary reads on EKGs and X-rays required.
• Board Certified/Eligible in Family Medicine, Emergency Medicine, or Internal Medicine/Pediatrics.
