Position descriptionThe UCSF Division of Palliative Medicine (DPM), based at UCSF Health sites, is seeking applications for full‑time or part‑time faculty.
Our goal is to create opportunities for faculty to achieve academic success and a rewarding career in academic palliative medicine through clinical experiences that match their interests and opportunities for clinical innovation and program development, educational scholarship, research, quality improvement, and more.

Candidates may be at the Assistant, Associate or Full Professor level; rank and series will be commensurate with qualifications. Successful candidates will have outstanding references, clinical expertise, and evidence of or potential for leadership in teaching, research, quality improvement, medical education, program development, or another academic area. Candidates must possess an MD (or equivalent) degree, be board‑certified in any primary specialty, and board‑certified/eligible in Hospice and Palliative Medicine by hire date.
Candidates must also have Palliative Medicine Fellowship training or other comparable experience, and be eligible for licensure in the State of California at the time of hire. Applicants' materials must list current and/or pending qualifications upon submission.

The posted UC salary scales set the minimum pay determined by rank and step Table 5. The minimum base salary range for this position is $131,200-$344,400. This position includes membership in the health sciences compensation plan which provides for eligibility for additional compensation.
For positions that are 50% effort or less:
