Direct and oversee all medical care rendered to patients within the Emergency Department while on duty. Supervise the clinical care, procedures, charting, and interactions with patients and staff by residents, interns, students.
The position requires a license to practice medicine issued by the California Board of Medical Examiners and Board Eligibility or Certification in Emergency Medicine.

Description
Emergency Medicine is a broad field and our faculty have a number of clinical and research interests. Areas of existing research expertise within our new department already include cardiac arrest, pre-hospital EMS care (including stroke diagnosis and management), ultrasound diagnostic techniques, health policy (especially ED crowding, ambulance diversion, utilization of the ED by indigents, and health disparities), procedural sedation, infectious disease management.
Required Qualifications- Requires possession of a license to practice medicine issued by the California Board of Medical Examiners
- Must have completed Emergency Medicine residency training or be Board Certified in Emergency Medicine
- Must maintain up-to-date appointment and privileging at their designated hospital(s)
