Responsibilities and Expectations
  • Organize and direct the architectural and/or engineering team to execute work in an orderly, timely, and coordinated manner.
  • Provide project team coordination and/or supervision for finished plans, specifications, and material selections required for construction.
  • Develop and coordinate drawings and specifications including program compliance, code and agency compliance, schedule commitments, and product research.
  • Work with consultants, contractors, fabricators, specification writers, and regulatory agencies to meet overall project objectives.
  • Provide input to the design and construction schedule.
  • Communicate the technical implications of design decisions.
  • Handle project-level verbal and written client communication.
  • Serve as the primary client liaison to bring schedule, budgets, and scope of work to completion and to the client’s satisfaction.
  • Actively manage project budget, scope, and schedule; project communications and documentation; and project team assignments.
  • Develop proposal and contracts; estimate fees; determine scope of works.
Education and Experience
  • At least 5–7 years of experience at an architectural firm or design/build practice specific to architectural/mechanical/process/electrical systems for commercial, healthcare, semiconductor, or pharmaceutical projects (equivalent experience is also acceptable).
  • AIA or NCAARB highly desirable.
  • Project Management Certification (PMP, MPM, etc.) preferred but not required.
  • Construction Management, Architectural, or Engineering degree preferred but not required.
Competencies and Qualities
  • Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Field experience is a plus.
  • AutoCAD and/or REVIT proficiency.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite or similar 3D modeling/rendering software.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Windows environment.
  • Detail‑oriented and organized.
  • Strong sense of urgency and ability to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to adapt to ever‑changing project needs and priorities.
  • Reliable, responsible, and able to communicate well with colleagues, consultants, and clients.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
  • Proactive and self‑motivated.
  • A sense of humor and a team player.
