Job Description
Zypsy helps founders build the brands and digital experiences behind complex, technical products. We’re looking for a Brand & Marketing Lead to elevate how Zypsy shows up in the world. This is a high-ownership role blending brand, marketing, and design craft – you’ll help define our visual and editorial voice, lead a small team, and run our content end to end, from narrative to distribution.
You’ll collaborate closely with founders, partners like Webflow and Framer, and work directly with the CEO to shape Zypsy’s brand at a pivotal moment.
- Brand & Creative Direction
Shape Zypsy’s brand narrative for the year - visually and editorially - Maintain a consistent, high-taste visual identity across all marketing channels
- Direct and collaborate closely with designers to produce high-quality creative
- Thought Leadership
Own Zypsy’s point of view across design, startups, and product storytelling - Craft polished, founder-relevant insights for social, newsletters, blogs, and podcasts
- Turn Zypsy’s work and philosophy into clear, resonant storytelling
- Marketing Execution
Run the full content engine, including: - Social media (Linked In, X, IG, Tik Tok if needed)
- Newsletter (ie. Designing Robotics)
- Blogs & long-form editorial
- Podcast creation, production, and distribution
- Build efficient processes for producing and shipping content consistently
- Manage and uplevel a team of designers + marketing ops
- Growth & Partnerships
Expand Zypsy’s presence in the startup and design ecosystem - Build co-marketing and content opportunities with:
- VCs
- Webflow, Framer, and other platform partners
- Founders, creators, ecosystem operators
- Identify moments to amplify Zypsy’s influence and reach
- Marketing-generated leads
- New partnerships
- Content impressions, engagement, and audience growth
- Contributed pipeline / inbound opportunities
This is not a traditional marketing-only role. You need to have a clear understanding of design. You MUST have hands-on design experience such as:
- Brand design
- Product design
- Visual design
- Art direction
- Creative direction (with real execution background)
You should have the taste, intuition, and vocabulary to collaborate with designers, evaluate creative, and shape visual storytelling
Experience & Skills- 5–8 years in blended roles across design + marketing
- A portfolio that demonstrates strong design craft or creative direction
- Ability to lead a team and deliver high-quality creative at speed
- Deep understanding of the startup ecosystem (products, fundraising, founder mindset)
- Ability to translate complex ideas into beautiful and clear content
- Strong balance of strategy and hands-on execution
- Experience building end-to-end content engines (social, editorial, podcast, etc.)
