Construction Manager/ Foreman
Overview
CORE Construction is seeking a Superintendent to provide on-site coordination for all phases of construction on large scale commercial projects in the East Bay area of California. The candidate will be responsible for all onsite activities of a construction project ranging from start-up to punch-out.
ResponsibilitiesThe superintendent’s role is to ensure whatever is required to facilitate the construction of the project on site from beginning to completion while utilizing CORE’s best practices in safety, quality, schedule and cost while maintaining relationships with both our trade partners and our clients. These large-scale projects are often for a wide range of institutional clients, including colleges, universities, K-12 districts, municipalities, healthcare systems and more.
- Coaching subcontractors on safe construction practices
- Quality control, ensuring all subcontractor deficiencies are corrected
- Maintaining the project schedule and establishing the critical path for subs and vendors
- Facilitating and encouraging subcontractor coordination
- Working with design team and owner to overcome challenges / unforeseen conditions
- Reviewing all drawings, specifications and submittals
- Daily progress reports and weekly schedule updates
- Minimum 10 years construction experience
- Minimum 5 years supervisory experience
- Strong communications skills, both written and verbal
- Complete and detailed experience with subcontractor and construction sequencing
- Understanding of ASI’s, RFI’s and Material Submittals
- Technology:
Experience with Microsoft Office, MS Project and Procore - Experience with CMAR and/or Design/Build delivery methods
- Must work well in a team environment and be committed to client service
- Must be willing to travel within the state of California
- OSHA 30
- A valid Driver’s License
- This is an exempt position under the Fair Labor Standards Act and employee is not eligible for overtime compensation.
