Salary: $140,000 to $170,000 - Dependant on experience
Fortiva is delighted to be partnering with a forward-thinking Owner’s Representative firm in San Francisco to recruit an experienced Project Manager to support a diverse portfolio of projects across California. These projects span new build, major developments, refurbishments, and tenant fit-outs, delivered for a mix of public and private sector clients.
This role is ideally suited to a Project Manager who has gained experience within an Owner’s Representative firm, construction consultancy, or large general contractor, and who is well educated within the construction sector. The successful candidate will be motivated, commercially aware, and eager to make a tangible impact on both projects and the wider business.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and manage complex construction projects across multiple sectors, or demonstrate comparable experience delivering projects of similar scale and complexity
- Manage projects from early planning and design through construction and closeout, ensuring successful delivery against scope, schedule, and budget
- Act as a key liaison between owners, contractors, consultants, and stakeholders, representing the client’s interests at all times
- Oversee day-to-day project execution, ensuring site safety, quality standards, and contractual obligations are met
- Proactively manage risks, issues, and change, implementing solutions to maintain project performance
- Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and reporting, providing clear updates to clients and senior stakeholders
- Support continuous improvement across project delivery processes and contribute to best-practice standards
- Minimum of four years of progressive experience as a Project Manager within an Owner’s Representative firm, consultancy, or large General Contractor
- Well educated within the construction sector, with a degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related discipline preferred
- Demonstrated experience delivering projects through all phases of the project lifecycle
- Strong understanding of construction processes, contracts, and stakeholder management
- Proven leadership and communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and diverse teams
