Summary:
Lead the development, progressing, and tracking of pre-construction and all construction schedules including self-perform work. Perform delay and productivity changes and claims to maintain timely and profitable job completion.
Job Description:
Able to perform all essential Assistant Project Controls responsibilitiesUnderstand our financial system and managing costsMonitor project costs, track actual expenditures against budget, and identify cost overrunsCollaborate with project managers and accounting team to ensure accurate and timely financial reportingPerform the preparation, presenting, and negotiating change orders and claims as neededUnderstand, communicate, and track contract project controls and scheduling requirementsUnderstand and communicate our Self-Perform dashboards, KPIs with the team as requiredAssist in identifying and assessing project risks, evaluating their potential impact on project objectives, and proposing risk mitigation strategiesSupport our teams improving our dashboards, KPIs, trends, etc.Collaborate with project managers to develop contingency plans and monitor their implementationContinuously monitor and evaluate project performance indicators, identify trends, and recommend corrective actions as necessarySupport the development of delay and productivity claims for project teamsPrepare, update, and validate quality of preconstruction and baseline schedules and narrativesUnderstand, review, and track project schedules utilizing industry-standard softwareIdentify critical path activities and maintain an accurate and up-to-date scheduleConduct regular reviews to identify potential schedule delays, conflicts, or scope changes, and propose mitigation strategiesCollaborate with finance and accounting teams to ensure proper integration and alignment of project controls with financial reporting processesReview project schedules for completeness and adherence to company standardsDevelop and implement project controls plans and procedures to ensure projects are executed efficiently and effectivelyConduct regular audits of project documentation, ensuring compliance with company policies and industry standardsFollow P6 database management company best practicesComplete other responsibilities as assignedMinimum Requirements or Experience Requirements
Engineering, Construction Management, or Architectural degree, or equivalent7 years of construction experience including 5 years Project Controls experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience2+ Experience in scheduling and productivity claims is a plusDemonstrated experience with construction-related scheduling Critical Path MethodWorking knowledge of construction methods and processesFamiliarity with job cost informationProficiency with P6 ProfessionalProficiency with Microsoft Suite & BluebeamProficiency in reading and understanding contracts, plans, and specificationsUnderstanding of construction cost accountingAble to read and understand plans and specificationsWorking knowledge of virtual construction technology systemsSummary of Benefits:
