Position: Experienced Full-Time Infant Nanny Needed in San Francisco, CA

Employment Type: Full‑Time, Live‑Out

Location: Glen Park, San Francisco, CA 94131

Start Date: January 2026

Children: One infant, born September 2025

Pets: None

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Some flexibility required as the family’s needs and the child’s development evolve.

Compensation
  • $60–$75/hour equivalent
  • Annual salary: $124,800–$156,000, based on 40 hours/week

Please note that the top of this range ($70–$75/hour) is reserved for candidates who meet all required qualifications and experience.

W‑2 employee with premium benefits (listed below).

Benefits
  • Guaranteed full‑time schedule
    : 40 hours per week, providing consistency and stability.
  • Overtime compensation
    :
    Paid for any hours worked beyond the standard weekly schedule.
  • Paid Time Off (PTO):
    Three weeks annually (15 days total) – 1 week scheduled at the family’s discretion and 2 weeks chosen by the employee
    . PTO can be planned in coordination with the family.
  • Paid federal holidays (11 total):
    New Year’s Day, Martin Luther King Jr. Day, Presidents’ Day, Memorial Day, Juneteenth, Independence Day, Labor Day, Columbus Day, Veterans Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day. All holidays are fully paid and do not reduce PTO.
  • San Francisco Paid Sick Leave: Accrues at 1 hour for every 30 hours worked, rolling over yearly up to the city’s cap. Eligible for use after 90 days of employment.
  • Health insurance stipend: $500 per month to support personal health coverage.
  • Annual professional development fund (up to $1,500): For courses, certifications, workshops, or continuing education to enhance skills and career growth.
  • Activity and curriculum budget: Dedicated funds for purchasing educational materials, learning resources, toys, or activity supplies to support child development.
  • Annual performance‑based bonus: Additional compensation awarded for exceptional performance, reliability, and contributions to the household.
About the Family

This nurturing Glen Park family is seeking a highly experienced, developmentally knowledgeable infant nanny to join their household in early 2026. They are warm, communicative, and deeply value a respectful caregiving philosophy rooted in RIE, Montessori, or other child‑led frameworks

The ideal candidate will possess extensive knowledge of early childhood development and be able to design and implement age‑appropriate activities that support cognitive, emotional, social, and motor skill growth. This can include sensory exploration, tummy time, interactive reading, language exposure, and other hands‑on experiences that foster curiosity and learning. The nanny will maintain the highest standards of hygiene, including proper handwashing, safe preparation of bottles and food, and thorough sanitization of toys, while ensuring the infant’s comfort, safety, and overall well‑being.

Clear communication and collaboration with the parents are essential, creating a nurturing and supportive environment where both parent and child feel confident, informed, and cared for.

  • Infant Care
    • Provide nurturing, developmentally aligned care each day
    • Manage feeding, diapering, sleep routines, and soothing
    • Maintain exceptional hygiene and safety standards
    • Implement purposeful developmental activities, including:
      • RIE/Montessori‑inspired practices
      • Sensory exploration
      • Tummy time and motor milestone support
      • Early literacy and language‑rich engagement
    • Maintain accurate daily logs (sleep, feeding, diapers, milestones)
  • Family Support
    • Baby‑related household tasks (laundry, bottle sanitizing, nursery organization)
    • Prepare simple, healthy family meals
    • Ensure baby areas remain clean, hygienic, and organized
    • Communicate proactively with parents regarding routines and developments
    • Adapt care and structure as the infant progresses through developmental stages
Ideal Candidate

A warm, educated, and deeply experienced professional who brings:

  • A minimum Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or a directly related field
  • RIE training or RIE Foundations (preferred)
