Role Overview
This role manages both contract retention and expansion and develops new client opportunities. Responsibilities include building solid business relationships with key account decision makers, driving revenue growth, and ensuring client satisfaction while meeting or exceeding margin goals.
Primary Duties /Job Responsibilities
- Create and direct strategy for large or growing accounts, driving and coordinating selling and relationship activities.
- Maintain and build solid business relations with account key decision makers.
- Introduce and foster relationships with Verista and client key personnel.
- Translate client business strategy into Verista selling opportunities.
- Account management with increased client satisfaction, retention, and growth.
- Growth goals aligned to the specific account base.
- Proficient in strategic account management & planning.
- Manage forecast accuracy on a monthly/quarterly/annual basis.
- Negotiate prices, terms of sales and service agreements, prepare contracts, and submit orders per Verista guidelines.
- Partner with service lines to ensure delivery teams meet and exceed sales, utilization, and growth goals.
- Ensure engineering projects and processes conform to organizational policies and objectives.
- Resolve client complaints and other issues that may interfere with efficient sales operations.
- Act as the primary contact for client managers and partner levels (C‑level) with responsibilities including:
- Strengthening existing client relationships.
- Establishing new client relationships in existing client areas.
- Ensuring high quality of delivery team work.
- Managing proposal development and maintaining appropriate team utilization.
- Collaborate with service line management to drive resource utilization across the group.
- Manage all active purchase orders and keep units funded at all times.
- Ensure account personnel work only on funded projects.
- Document client opportunities, revenue forecasts, and resource plans.
- Conduct monthly client visits to maintain presence, receive feedback, and pursue growth opportunities.
- Hitting sales quota for assigned accounts in partnership with service line directors.
- Manage Salesforce leads, opportunities, and bookings with support from service managers.
- Maintain a pipeline that is 2–3× the required sales volume.
- Support Verista growth goals at each account (typically 20%, variable by account).
- Own strategic account management plans in direct collaboration with service line directors.
- Work with directors and VP to identify resource needs and assign best resources.
- Communicate with talent acquisition and resource management regarding skillset requirements and timing.
- Interview prospective candidates and make recommendations to VP/COO when necessary.
- Collaborate with sales to close opportunities and develop account strategies.
- Manage travel expectations for employees traveling >50% of time over three months.
- Provide regular updates to executive leadership on resourcing projections, sales, and metrics.
- Develop strategic partnerships and support new account development.
- Raise awareness of unbillable staff, impending contract terminations, and potential risk areas.
- Collect and communicate customer feedback, noting strengths and improvement areas.
- Maintain staffing levels to ensure effective sales support.
