The Opportunity

The Employee Relations Consultant will be a part of the Global Employee and Labor Relations (ELR) organization, delivering high-quality case management while providing essential operational, programmatic, and reporting support that strengthens ER consistency and governance. This role partners directly with business leaders, HRBPs, Employment Counsel and regional ELR partners to help resolve employee issues thoughtfully and support smooth workforce changes. This is an ideal role for a strong ER practitioner who balances casework with structured operational support in a global, matrixed environment.

What

You’ll Do

1. Employee Relations Case Management (Primary Focus ~50%)

  • Manage a portfolio of ER cases including performance, conduct, conflict resolution, reorganizations, and accommodations.

  • Serve as a trusted ER advisor to managers and HR business partners, helping them navigate complex people issues with sound judgment.

  • Conduct initial fact-finding and partner with regional ELR or Employment Counsel on next steps.

  • Provide clear written recommendations, root-cause insights, and fair, consistent guidance.

  • Proactively identify trends or risks within supported business groups and elevate to senior ELR partners as appropriate.

  • Coach managers on policies, processes, and ER best practices to drive capability and consistency.

2. Operational, Programmatic & Reporting Support (Secondary Focus ~50%)

Program / Process Support

  • Support execution of ER processes (e.g., case documentation standards, tracking, workforce change workflows).

  • Maintain templates, checklists, and guidance materials created by senior ELR operations leaders.

  • Contribute input to process improvements by identifying inefficiencies or friction points.

Project Coordination

  • Support project plans by coordinating tasks, tracking progress, and ensuring documentation accuracy.

  • Assist regional ELR partners by gathering information and providing operational follow-through during reorganizations or workplace change.

  • Ensure cross-functional alignment by communicating updates and confirming inputs.

Reporting & Insights

  • Prepare case trend summaries, basic dashboards, or periodic reports by validating and cleaning data.

  • Surface themes or recurring issues to senior ER leadership.

  • Ensure accuracy and consistency in ER case data and audit readiness.

Governance Support

  • Help maintain global governance artifacts (e.g., SOPs, templates), ensuring they reflect updates shared by senior operations or legal partners.

  • Support compliance checks by validating documentation or confirming process adherence.

What You Bring
  • Foundation in employee relations case handling.

  • Ability to analyze information and make recommendations based on policies, past precedent, and judgment.

  • Comfort working with data to prepare summaries and basic reporting.

  • Solid organizational, documentation, and coordination skills.

  • Experience partnering with managers and HR teams to resolve people issues.

  • Ability to navigate a global, fast-paced, matrixed environment with professionalism and discretion.
