Job Description

Hey, g'day, mabuhay, kia ora, 你好, hallo, vítejte!

Thanks for stopping by. We know job hunting can be a little time consuming and you're probably keen to find out what's on offer, so we'll get straight to the point.

Where and how you can work

Our flagship office is in Sydney, Australia, but we've made our way from down under, to a hub in San Francisco, which is now home to our US operations. We offer flexibility in how and where you work. We trust our Canvanauts to choose the balance that empowers them and their team to achieve their goals.

What you’d be doing in this role

As Canva scales change continues to be part of our DNA. But we like to think that's all part of the fun. So this will give you the flavour of the type of things you'll be working on when you start, but this will likely evolve.

At the moment, this role is focused on:

What you’ll do

As our Partnerships Lead for Learn Grid, you'll unlock curriculum-aligned content at scale by building strategic relationships with the world's leading educational publishers, curriculum providers, and ministries of education. You'll negotiate and close deals that bring 30,000+ high-quality resources into Canva within your first year, accelerating our path to becoming the definitive platform for classroom-ready learning materials.

Beyond deal-making, you'll activate these partnerships through co-marketing initiatives that drive awareness among millions of teachers, ensuring that premium educational content that was once locked behind paywalls or geographic barriers now reaches classrooms everywhere. Success in this role means teachers in Jakarta, São Paulo, and rural Texas all find excellent, standards-aligned resources when they search Canva—because you built the partnership ecosystem that made it possible.

  • Lead end-to-end content partnership strategy and execution to help drive Canva's long-term growth, with a particular focus on branded content, AI-powered content innovations, and expanding Canva's content ecosystem.
  • Own partnership performance targets and budget, developing data-driven insights, trends and strategic frameworks to measure success and optimise partnership return of investment through commercial negotiations and securing favourable terms.
  • Evolve Canva's content partnerships operations from prospecting potential partners to establishing Canva as a sought-after collaborator for the largest global brands and content innovators at the forefront of the design space.
  • Cultivate deep, strategic relationships with existing and prospective content partners while establishing robust, scalable processes for partner onboarding, engagement, and ongoing relationship management.
  • Collaborate across internal groups including Design, Product, Engineering, Marketing, Growth and other specialties to ensure partnerships align with Canva’s broader company objectives and drive innovation that keeps Canva competitive in emerging content and AI technologies.
You're probably a match if

We're seeking a strategic thinker who thrives in fast-paced environments and can seamlessly bridge the gap between educational content partnership strategy and hands-on execution. You should be someone who naturally gravitates toward solving complex problems in the education sector, enjoys working with data to drive decisions about curriculum coverage and content quality, and can build strong relationships with curriculum publishers, ministries of education, and educational content providers while leading commercial negotiations and partnership structuring across multiple stakeholders.

The ideal candidate combines analytical rigour with relationship-building expertise in education markets, demonstrating both the ability to develop comprehensive content partnership strategies and execution to drive significant strategic change through partnerships that democratize access to curriculum-aligned learning resources.

  • 5-7+ years of experience in business development, strategic partnerships, or content licensing within education technology, educational publishing, curriculum providers, or high-growth content platforms serving education markets.
  • Proven track record of driving…
