PositionThe primary role of the SF Venue Manager is to book and manage Skylight’s venues business in San Francisco, CA. This role includes cultivating relationships with Landlord partners, local authorities, vendors and industry clientele while maintaining and growing site‑specific systems and to drive and hit sales targets. Past SF projects have included technology conferences, immersive exhibitions, culinary festivals, art shows and more – the Venue Manager is integral in bringing these creative uses to fruition and ensuring they are successfully operated.

Skills & Qualifications- 4+ years experience in an events, property management, or project management role
- Aptitude for sales/operations, i.e. personable, articulate, organized, and proactive
- Ability to drive a project plan and work independently
- Experience managing a team of full‑time and on‑demand employees
- Professional command of written and verbal speech
- Proactive and responsive attitude
- Productive time management
- Detail‑oriented and organized
- Familiarity with Google platforms including Calendar, Drive, and Mail
- Familiarity with sales tools including Salesforce and Salesforce Inbox
- Flexible schedule which includes additional hours for onsite operations, including weekends will be required to reflect the activity onsite
- Display knowledge of venue narrative, Skylight’s value proposition and demonstrate market expertise across events and filming.
- Support the sales by taking client walk‑throughs, sharing pricing and walking clients through the operational phases of the event.
- Assist in building customized event packages for different event types (corporate, wedding, social, non‑profit, etc.).
- Develop strong relationships with brand and production partners to encourage repeat business.
- Negotiate pricing and develop contract fluency to close sales.
- Utilize Salesforce database to track, report and analyze event data.
- Fortify Skylight’s sales efforts by strategically capturing and memorializing significant moments onsite.
- Oversee event operations through comprehensive internal and client facing checklists, ensuring all necessary documents (schedules, insurance policies, city permits) specific to each booking are collected and that Skylight’s activities onsite are well‑organized.
- Interface and build rapport with building staff whose trust and cooperation allow Skylight to coordinate events and programming activity within their active site.
- Develop and manage communication systems between Skylight Real Estate Partners and Skylight (ex: calendars, weekly updates, monthly progress reports and quarterly recaps).
- Gather associated schedules, insurance policies and city permits specific to each event.
- Interface and build rapport with building staff whose trust and cooperation allow Skylight to coordinate events, shoots and programming activity within their active site.
- Oversee event closeouts including damage reconciliation, post‑mortems and accounting.
- Use client perspective to support business development discussions & product development with West Coast property and development owners.
- Develop relationships with local government and neighborhood representatives.
- Identify and build new client relationships for revenue‑generating events and Skylight placemaking opportunities.
- Manage San Francisco Venue Coordinator & part‑time team of Site Representatives to support successful venue sales & operations across the above.
10AM - 6PM, Monday through Friday (in office), Evenings and Weekends as dictated by event schedule

Pay Scale- Base Salary: $100K + annual performance bonus
- Event pay for on site event work outside standard working hours at 1.5x
